The outdoor season is now finished, so the main interest now focusses on games at indoor locations. On Sunday, the first game in the Fife Fours competition was played against Duffus Park B.C. at East Fife Indoor B.C. On rink 1, M.Comrie, Judd Clark, B.Bell and D.Comrie (skip) built up an early 8-1 lead after 6 ends before being pegged back to 8-7. However, they finished strongly to record a good 11-9 victory and secure the first 2 points. On rink 2, J.Lafferty, T.Young, Jim Clark and C.Falconer (skip) were never in difficulty and romped home to a 19-6 win. On rink 3, Mrs A.Young, Ms.R.Bunting, S.McFarlane and T. Pettigrew (skip) lost the first end, but won every end after that to win by a landslide 27-1. This was an excellent start, with a 7-0 victory to take into the next game against Methilhill B.C. on Sunday 17th Nov. This game comes immediately after the Presentation Dance on the Saturday night, but fortunately it is a noon start and hopefully the alcohol intake from the previous evening will have receded enough to have no effect on the ability of the players. The team will be selected the week before and posted on the noticeboard in the lower locker room and also texted to the players involved. The Presentation of Trophies Dance will be held on Saturday 16th November and tickets are available from Rhona Bunting or behind the bar on a Thursday evening.
