Further Clubhouse Extension

 In

The popularity of the Club grew, with functions, bingo and dancing and it soon became very obvious that the dance floor was too small, so in November, 1982 there was a proposal for a further extension There were various plans put forward and it was decided to go all the way with the new extension, to include a fully fitted kitchen and a members lounge, at a cost of between £30,000 and £40,000.

To fund the extension there was a donation from the Tullis Russell Trust, a loan of £5,000 from the Sports Council and a loan of £10,000 from Tennant Caledonian Brewers. There were other donations from members and the Ladies Section provided many substantial donations.
